$62 Million Facility
98,500 square feet of buildings on 20 acres
In the Land Building the ceiling was concave, whereas in the Island Building it was convex. In both buildings, 8-foot light fixture were carefully mounted to match the curve.
In the Cyberdome, total darkness during the exhibit was the goal. To accomplish this, many standard ivory items had to be painted black. Additionally, a special relay system was designed for the emergency egress system so that no unwanted light would appear during the exhibit. Also in the Cyberdome, each theater seat has raceways housing the control cables for the interactive theater.

Foreman: Ray Evans This challenging project included renovating four existing buildings, previously used by Winfield State Hospital. All electrical, nurse call and fire alarm aspects of the buildings were totally removed from the existing structures and installed to current code requirements.
Because moneys used for the project funding were contingent upon a non-movable completion date, unforeseen problems were compensated for with innovative solutions to scheduling challenges.
