These are projects on which complete plans and specifications are not yet
developed. Our expertise is used to develop the basic design
requirements, a budget figure, with continued communication with the
owner, architect and selected electrical engineer. Our input at the
beginning of the process generally saves considerable time over the more
conventional development of bid documents.

since 1994.
Travelers Casualty and Surety Company of America has an A.M. Best rating
of "A+" Superior with a Financial Size Category of " XIII" $1.25
billion to $1.5 billion. Travelers Casualty and Surety Company of
America has a U.S. Department of Treasury underwriting limit of
$112,790,000.

projects in the $15-$16 million range and aggregate bonding capacity in
the $20-22 million range. It should be noted that these ranges are
not expressed limits. They are general working limits only and

40’s &
50’s
Linder & Associates, Inc. began as Brown
Electric in the late 1940’s. Brown Electric was a small electrical
contractor that worked primarily in Wichita. Brown was incorporated in
1954.
60’s &
70’s
In 1962, James L. Linder and Harold Mims purchased the company from Joe
Brown and Paul Shelley. The corporation’s name was changed to Linder &
Mims. In the 1970's, Harold Mims left the corporation and Hubert Edwards,
Delmar Klocke and Bob Shields acquired ownership interest. The corporate
name was then changed to Linder & Associates, Inc. The company continued
to work primarily in Wichita and was one of the larger electrical
contractors in Wichita in the 1960’s and 1970’s.
80’s
In the late 1970’s and into the 1980’s the company experienced dramatic
growth and the ownership base was expanded to include younger key
personnel.
90’s
In the 1990’s ownership moved from the “first” generation to the “next”
generation ownership.
Today
Today the company is a closely held corporation with four primary shareholders
who are actively involved in the day-to-day business:
