History

40’s & 50’s

Linder & Associates, Inc. began as Brown Electric in the late 1940’s.  Brown Electric was a small electrical contractor that worked primarily in Wichita.  Brown was incorporated in 1954.

60’s & 70’s

In 1962, James L. Linder and Harold Mims purchased the company from Joe Brown and Paul Shelley.  The corporation’s name was changed to Linder & Mims.  In the 1970's, Harold Mims left the corporation and Hubert Edwards, Delmar Klocke and Bob Shields acquired ownership interest.  The corporate name was then changed to Linder & Associates, Inc.  The company continued to work primarily in Wichita and was one of the larger electrical contractors in Wichita in the 1960’s and 1970’s.

80’s & 90's

In the late 1970’s and into the 1980’s the company experienced dramatic growth and the ownership base was expanded to include younger key personnel.  In the 1990’s ownership moved from the “first” generation to the “next” generation ownership.

21st Century

Today the company is a stable, reliable, closely held corporation, consistently working to develop the "new" next generation, with three shareholders who are actively involved in the day-to-day business:

Larry G. Clark, President
Bill Quaney, Executive Vice President
Russ Wedel, Vice President of Labor Management / Secretary
